Steph Curry took over in the final minutes of the Gold Medal game against France, hitting several clutch threes, including one over Victor Wembanyama. The United States wrapped up a dominant tournament with a 9-point win in the final, securing their 5th consecutive Gold Medal in Men’s Basketball.
The Women’s team also claimed the Gold, defeating the host nation in their final game as well.
Quincy Hall Wins 400m Gold In Epic Comeback
Quincy Hall won the Men’s 400m Dash, taking home the Gold for the US for the first time since 2008. The craziest part was 350 meters through the race, he was several strides behind and even fell to 4th place. Hall miraculously made the stretch and fell for the Gold at the finish line.
Noah Lyles Wins 100m Dash At Photo Finish
In yet another remarkable comeback, Noah Lyles secured victory in the 100m Dash after a photo finish confirmed his win. Lyles was in 8th place with just 50 meters remaining, but surged ahead to claim the gold. However, a few days later, Lyles earned the bronze in the 200m Dash.
Novak Djokovic Becomes 5th Player To Complete Grand Slam
The Serbian became just the 5th person in history to complete the career Grand Slam, winning all four major tournaments and Gold at the Olympics. Djokovic defeated Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets to win the Gold.
USWNT Claims First Gold Since 2012
The United States Women’s Soccer team secured their first Olympic Gold Medal since the 2012 Games, triumphing this year in Paris.
